MoveIt App

MoveIt – Fitness for Busy Lives

In the 21st century maintaining a work-life balance is a challenge for many adults juggling full-time jobs and personal commitments.
Recognizing the growing importance of physical and mental health I set out to design MoveIt, a fitness app tailored for busy individuals.

The Challenge

How might we create a fitness ecosystem that prioritizes convenience, accessibility and holistic wellness for users like Jarno, our primary persona, a busy individual seeking to prioritize health on-the-go?

Approach

For this project I followed the Design Thinking Process, which included these methods for each step:

Empathise

  • Conducted competitive analysis and context mapping to understand the landscape.
  • Gathered insights about users’ lifestyles and needs.
  • Context Mapping

    Define

  • Developed Jarno’s persona and contextual scenario to ground our design decisions.
  • Created a user flow to map the app’s functionality.
  • Ideate

    Prototype

    Key Insights

Iterative Design: Early sketches shaped the final app layout, showing the value of adapting based on visual feedback.

Design Aesthetics: Research guided decisions around scalability, visibility, and function, ensuring a seamless experience across mobile and smartwatch interfaces.

Reflection: Deeper research into user pain points would enhance the prototype.

    What’s Next?

To refine MoveIt next steps should include:

MoveIt was designed to empower individuals to prioritize health despite their busy schedules. With a focus on convenience and inclusivity the app encourages users to “Get Moving – MoveIt Style!” 🤩💪
